Signs Of The Coming Eucalyptus

Ah, FFS.  First the Jag F-type, now this:

Rolls-Royce has finally taken the wraps off its first fully electric car as the sleek and silent Spectre goes on sale from today to super-rich customers who want to be greener.

The new Spectre – which has undergone thousands of miles of testing under a camouflage skin disguise – has a mighty 577 horsepower (430kW) with two electric motors – one driving each axle – propelling the near 3 tonne vehicle from 0 to 60mph in just 4.4 seconds and up to a top speed expected to be limited to 155mph.

But it also has a significant full-charge range of up to 320 miles – enough to drive from London to just north of Newcastle, with zero-emissions from the tailpipe…

Wait for it…

…although it will use plenty of energy potentially created with fossil fuels elsewhere to do that journey.

Okay, so let the Ultra-Rich Wokistas (e.g. David Fucking Beckham) and Watermelon politicos (like Nancy Bitch Pelosi) drive these stupid things, while the rest of us can be left alone to drive cars and trucks powered by internal combustion engines.

Although if there’s anything of which we can be absolutely certain, it’s that they won’t be satisfied until we’re all lumbered with fucking Duracell cars.

A Question Of Equipment

Okay, so you’re faced with this situation:

Furious drivers have blasted police after two eco zealots ascended two 275ft masts and are dangling over the M25, causing Dartford Bridge to close for more than 17 hours today but no officers have been sent to fetch them down due to ‘safety’ concerns.

Police said the operation was ‘complex’ due to the height at which the protestors are currently situated, adding it would take time to get them down.

Like most of my Readers, I’m positive that getting these little shits down shouldn’t take any time at all, with the proper equipment.

I’m thinking a decent shotgun with 28-30″ barrels, such as something sidelock-y from Abbiatico & Salvinelli, would do the trick:

…or, if you’re of the Over And Under persuasion, their Excalibur model:

…but I confess that I’m a little stumped as to the best gauge (12 or 20?) and ammo choice:  bird shot or buck shot?  (e.g. would 12ga 1oz #7.5 be good, or better to go with 20ga ¾oz #7.5 for its higher velocity?)

The reason I’m unsure is that 275 feet up is quite a distance — much higher than your typical driven bird flies, and at the same time, the humans are much bigger targets requiring a beefier cartridge.

So:  what are your suggestions for the ammo, O My Readers?

OR:

Do we just say “the hell with it” and go with a good old sniper rifle, e.g. this Dragunov PSL in 7.62x54R:

…or if we want to stay British, this Lee-Enfield Mk4 No.1 (T) in .303:

While I like the shotgun option (for the challenge), that Mk4 makes one of my digits itch, oh yes it does.

While we may disagree as to the best equipment for this particular job, I think we can all agree that potting eco-zealots (suspended, running, stationary or all three) should be an Olympic sport.

Different Planet

I see this little snippet:

Prices paid by U.S. households surged higher in September as a wide range of goods and services became more expensive.

Prices rose 8.2 percent compared with a year earlier, the latest Consumer Price Index showed on Tuesday, evidence that the price stability sought by the Federal Reserve remains an elusive and distant destination.

…and I ask myself:  where the hell does that 8.2% come from?

Way I see it, inflation should be measured across categories which hit the average person the hardest:  food, fuel and utilities (FFU).  All the rest are pretty much non-essential, other than in an emergency situation.

In my case, when I scrutinize my budgeted vs. actual expenses spreadsheet, the FFU inflation is running at about 23%, comparing the latest two months of this year’s expenditures to the same two months of last year.  Gasoline costs, of course, are about 28% higher, even with me cutting back on my driving;  food is about 20% higher (once again, “buying down” in terms of quality/quantities), and utilities are about 15% higher (and Aug/Sep was actually warmer in 2021 than this year).

None of the above is even close to the “8.2%” (LOL) that all these shitheads are talking about.

We are being lied to, and I really don’t like it.

Ah Yes, Those “Youths”

Several people have sent me this little snippet (in which, by the way, we can play our “Guess The Race” game):

Videos posted to social media show a mob of young Black men, teens and children violently attacking a Hooters restaurant in Plano, Texas on Thursday, according to posters of the videos. Customers and staff were attacked at the entrance and windows were smashed. A woman inside the Hooters can be heard off camera exclaiming, “It’s over a f***ing chocolate bar!”

The videos show what appears to be staff retreating to the entrance from a dispute outside in the parking lot that turned violent. The staff is attacked in the vestibule, with one male staff member assuming the BLM kneeling position to no avail. [well duh — Kim]

For those who are going “Huh?” at this happening in Plano of all places, I should point out that like so many otherwise-idyllic places, Plano has its dark side [lol], which is a couple square miles straddling the Central Expressway (U.S. 75) and is home to all sorts of evil scum and wretched villainy.

To we residents of the ummmm tonier side of Plano, the Third World begins east of Alma Drive. Here’s a map, with the Hooters location marked towards the south end:

What’s interesting is that literally a parking lot away from Hooters is a redneck restaurant called Love And War In Texas, which features live country music and exotic meats on its menu.  Had this little “chocolate war” threatened this restaurant, there would have been gunplay, from both customers and staff.

My place is way off the map to the west, by the way, closer to the “corporate executive” part of Plano.

Anyway, there is a bright side to this little tragedy.  As Jim notes:

Fortunately, the Hooters calendar models event was held a few days before.

Given that this event typically features an audience of 90% truckers and rednecks (some overlap), it was fortunate indeed.  For the youths.

Like We Didn’t Know That Already

Satellite Temperature Data Show Almost All Climate Model Forecasts Over the Last 40 Years Were Wrong

Any of my Longtime Readers will be at least familiar with this, as I’ve repeated time and time again that not one of the predictive algorithms used by these charlatans to drive the global warming/cooling/climate change hysteria has ever been close to its predicted outcome in terms of temperature change.

We need to end this ridiculous farce now, as it’s being used to destroy civilization and replace it with… well, universal poverty and misery, as far as I can make out.

That includes measures such as mandated ending of the internal combustion engine, replacement of clean and reliable energy generation with costly and unreliable substitutes, and all the zero net carbon nonsense — among many others.

I’d add flogging and execution of the chief charlatans, but that would probably appear as excessive to some wilting violets.

Zero Tolerance

From Florida, some good news:

“As far as looting — we have law and order in Lee County. We have law and order in our great state of Florida, and we always will,” said Marceno. “Right now, we have four cases of looting, and I’m proud to say they’re behind bars where they belong. Our residents are going to be safe.”

Or, as FuturePOTUS Ron DeSantis puts it:

“I can tell you in the state of Florida, you never know what may be lurking behind somebody’s home. And I would not want to chance that if I were you given that we are a Second Amendment state.”

Let me remind everyone that during the Blitz in 1940, when the Brits still had actual balls, looting of bomb-damaged houses carried the death penalty.

The good old days, in other words.
