The mob beat and burned 13 men to death with gasoline-soaked tyres on Monday after pulling them from police custody at a traffic stop, police and witnesses in the capital Port-au-Prince said.
Six more burned bodies were seen in a nearby neighbourhood later on in the day, and witnesses claimed to have seen police kill them before residents set them on fire.
Residents in the Haitian capital have put gang members on notice and promised they will be lynched if they attempt to seek vengeance for the deaths of 13 alleged accomplices who were stoned and set on fire.
Sounds okay to me.
Of course, pace the “there will be more guns out there, including in the hands of people who should never be near them” trope, one could (and should) argue that there are already guns in the hands of people who should never be near them — those people being gang members — and all that’s happening now is that ordinary people are preparing to take the law back into their own hands because those deputized to enforce the law are unwilling or being prevented from doing so.
Sounds about right.
All the hand-wringers grasp for the low hanging fruit of those whom follow the law, are law abiding, and just want to muddle thru their lives. At some point, the abiding are gonna realize there is no Calvary coming, no rescue, and you have to fight your way out of trouble.
All the while, crims, perverts, and the dregs of society run free, enabled by feckless politicians, handcuffed law enforcement and a culled populace. They totally understand that only the law abiding follow the laws; the crims could care less, and go about their mayhem.

good for the haitians!!! I hope more Americans take up the same techniques. Law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, parole boards clearly do not convince criminals to find lawful work so it becomes the duty of the citizen to re-educate the criminals.

Just like in Brazil where they basically made it open season on motorcycle thieves, even if you aren’t involved in any way you can run them over, shoot them, beat the hell out of them. Seems to be reducing the occurrences, hopefully long term. It is basically what needs to happen in Chicago as well.
