  1. The first thing that came to mind was that, if there wasn’t enough oompf to propel that round any further than 3 feet then there likely wasn’t enough to set the fuse, either.

    Closely followed by the second though, which was a mental image of the Rabbit of Caerbannog bit from “Holy Grail”: “Run away!”

  2. Generalissimo your shipment of new Mortar rounds is secure in the Armory. The practice rounds are in clearly marked boxes for your convivence. be sure to tell your armorer that those are the ones to use for training.

    1. I’m trying to figure out if this is in slow motion. Otherwise, the only thing I can think of is that there was a long moment of disbelief that the shell was still within arm’s reach when it wasn’t supposed to be.
