Dept. Of Righteous Shootings

Man, they’re coming in thick and fast.  From Reader JohnC (thankee!) comes this excellent news*:

Police said three employees were inside the Wingstop in northeast Philadelphia Sunday when a 53-year-old man walked in wearing a mask and gloves around 10:30 p.m. The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at them and demanded the employees hand over the money from the cash register drawer.
Investigators said that’s when a customer, identified by police only as a man in his late 20s, walked in talking on the phone, likely not noticing a robbery was taking place, WPVI reported.
The suspect then turned and pointed his firearm at the customer, demanding he turn over his cell phone.
The customer pulled his own gun and fired one shot at the perpetrator, striking him in the neck, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

[pauses to let the cheering and catcalls subside]

There’s so much to like about this story that I barely know where to begin.  (A neck shot?  Dude.)

And now comes the time at this website when we do the Happy Dance…

*no link because it comes from the foul Fox News, who persist in embedding annoying loud auto-start videos in their articles.  Also because Fox News, period.  Fuck ’em.  They’ve joined the list of news orgs which get no links from me.

  1. Just a heads up, Kim: “archive.today”… it lets you copy articles from pozzed media sources like the NYT and their parrots while depriving them of any traffic. It’s a little extra work… but it makes for a more polished presentation while flipping them the bird. 😉👍

  2. Nice to get the day jump-started with some holiday cheer.

Off topic whiny bitch rant: found an image to be deployed as my avatar here. Could the Gravatar jive be any more convoluted? Ye gods.

    /whiny bitch off.

  3. Methinks that, with the lefty disbanding of police becoming more widespread, such events will become so commonplace as to not deserve mention. And, it’s entirely possible that, depending on the election recovery outcome, it’ll quickly turn into whatever comes after “commonplace.”

    1. Should Herr Harris get sworn in, commonplace will be vilified. The Betos & DiFis will be deployed to put us in our place. We won’t comply, and things’ll get interesting.

      1. “the New Normal” will undoubtedly develop into something very loud, quite bloody and extremely distressing to some.

Make sure you ain’t in the “some” group.

  4. Northeast Philly has never been high on any list of desirable places to live, work or travel.

Anybody who buys or sells wings in a city of cheese steaks and soft pretzels is sure to come to no good end.

  5. I turn off the auto-start settings for videos. Some browsers are trickier than others ( like Firefox, for example) but it is possible.
