“No Standing Army”

Everybody knows by now about Uncle Pervy’s latest mouthfart:

“So, the idea we’re gonna cut the defense budget significantly, we can cut it some, but we don’t need standing armies, we need to be smarter than we’re dealing now into how we handle this.”

Of course, the general consensus is all about national defense and blah blah blah.

Here’s my  question for the Has-Been VP, though:

If you have no standing army, how the hell do you propose to disarm the American public and confiscate all those eeeevil black assault rifles?

No doubt he and the other Communist presidential wannabes would probably want to create their own private army (e.g. SS, SA, KGB etc.) out of the Pantifa cadres… that’s always worked quite well for the Russian- and European totalitarians in the past.

Don’t think it would work that well with Americans, though.

    1. Shhhhh. This time jumping off the barn roof with a pillowcase might turn out differently.

  1. Kim,
Other agencies are going to be the stand in for a standing army!

Don’t you remember back in Obama’s first term news about the Department of Education’s OIG purchasing 27 Remington 12 gauge shot guns? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2013/01/17/why-u-s-education-department-has-27-12-gauge-shotguns/

OR even before that, circa GBW’s 2nd term, buying 200 Glocks for it’s special agents? (Apparently, theOIG began issuing Glocks in October of 2001) ? https://www.muckrock.com/news/archives/2013/oct/24/school-hard-glocks-department-educations-gun-colle/

And even though it’s from Infowars, I couldn’t find this article anywhere else even though I seem to remember first reading it on Freerepublic.com, this was even more eye opening…”Ironically, the Education Dept. is not the only federal agency expanding its firepower outside of the Dept. of Justice.

Back in July, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration bought 72,000 rounds of .40 Smith & Wesson.

The year before, the National Weather Service made a solicitation for 46,000 rounds of .40 caliber jacketed hollow point ammunition.

Also in 2012, the Social Security Administration purchased 174,000 rounds of 125 grain .357 SIG hollow point ammunition to be delivered to 41 locations across America.

SIG Sauer developed the .357 SIG to be the equivalent of the powerful 125 grain .357 Magnum load in common use by lawmen throughout most of the Cold War.

The Department of Homeland Security bought so much ammo last year that it even began censoring the quantity of rounds the agency sought in its solicitations posted on the FedBizOpps web site.

It has been estimated that DHS stockpiled at least two billion rounds of ammunition, enough to sustain the war in Iraq for 24 years. ”

  2. A couple of years ago I followed my curiosity and after digging around a bit, found 57 agencies or departments in Washington D.C. that were armed, most with a SWAT team(s) and some form of police powers.
Just wondering what “our betters” in that armed fortress are afraid of?
Ans: The truth and if and when we find out, Us.
