(We all recall your distaste for sci-fi from the Good Ol’ Days, and you probably don’t have many good things to say about Joss Whedon, but I’m willing to guess that “Firefly” could make you reconsider both of those ideas just a smidge. The relationship between Jayne [played by Adam Baldwin] and Vera is, as they say, a better love story than “Twilight.” From the show’s theme song: “Burn the land and boil the sea, you can’t take the sky from me!”)
