  1. So much good music from Mr. Whittaker over the years. He will be missed, but I can pull up his music on various sites and playlists, so his talent will not be lost.

And for you to throw some Jethro Tull into the day’s mix is just icing on my musical cake. Thanks for both!

  2. My dad turned me on to Roger’s work, quite a feat since I preferred Jethro Tull, Aerosmith, and the like at the time. One of the last things I was able to do for my dad as he was in hospice was to play his favorite Roger Whittacker album for him. I’ll be listening to”The Skye Boat Song” later in memory of them both.

  3. Truly sad news. My parents had him playing in the house, and even as a younker I enjoyed his smooth mellow voice. Keep in mind I was into heavy metal. So there must have been something special about him. If, and The Last Farewell were a couple of my favorites, River Lady was an obscure one that I enjoyed too.

And it brings back memories of my Dad & Mom. Dammit Kim…….
