Quote Of The Day

Seen here:  Progressive Culture and the Crisis of the American Male

These were all humiliation rituals… struggle sessions aimed at traditional American men and their favorite pastimes. All of them engineered and prosecuted by the Progressive Left. And they are working precisely as they were intended, which is to say badly, for American men.

And really: ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ “It was twenty years today” ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ (or thereabouts) that someone wrote this.

I still prefer my trenchant description.

  1. In some ways I’m glad I’m an old fuk.

I only have one woman to think about and am now old enough to appreciate that fact.

A certain clarity of sense starts to occur when the whole “sex” thing is removed from the equation.

A clarity I wish I had 40 years ago because life in general would have been so much easier in the absence of that powerful distraction.

    1. Michael Savage had his mother on his radio program on her 90th birthday, asked her what was her secret as many of the men in his family died young from heart disease? Her response (without hesitation): “No sex!” Funny, but speaks to your point.

  2. I remember talking with Connie around the time The Pussification was published. SHE seemed to support the notion of feminist disenfranchisement. Or I misunderstood her support of the notion that female enfranchisement was a very bad idea.

    1. Nah, you’re right. She would have been perfectly happy to surrender her vote, as long as the rest of the women couldn’t vote either. Her quote: “We’ve abused that right and proved we don’t know how to use it, so we deserve to lose it.”

  3. Both the linked post and your linked blog commentary’s brilliantly encapsulate the sense of the matter. I had a dad who was a real man, taught his boys “what’s what” by instruction and example (how he treated our mother). He demanded we step up to the role. And we see the failing all around us, boys, not men. (Wanna really know, if you can stand it…take in 5 minutes of Bachelor, 25 year-olds who have no clue other than calling woman “smokeshow” and hits on their IG accounts…WTF).

Every sense I have knows the ills of society are based in this cultural war on men and the balance God demanded between the two sexes. Woman are the gatekeepers, when they decided to debase themselves and be like “guys” (because gals are lousy at being guys…duh), all bets are off…because males will eventually say, “Fine, I’m going [“x”], leave me alone.”

  4. I have only a minor quibble. I think a lot of it is the over-mommying in western society. We now are pushing against the 3rd generation of over mothered little boys who grow up expecting to be mommyed, and escalating the decline in their own offspring. I could elaborate but I’m sure we all see it.

  5. David the piggy has no place to rail on about masculinity. The Democrat party’s ideology has sought to demean the role of men as providers for their families since before the Johnson administration. The Democrat party has sought to make everyone dependent on the government throughout the twentieth century whether it was Woodrow Wilson or FDR.

  6. look at how Hollyweird has portrayed men throughout time. In the 50s we had strong men leading and providing for their families with Ward Cleaver and such. Now men are shown as incompetent and the butt of every joke. Look at Ray Romano on his television show etc. Look at any commercial on television now.

The age of the Hero is passing and we are at the dawning of the age of the bitter, hate filled misandrist bull dyke who destroys everything that men of Western Civilization has built.

  7. Kim,

I still think that essay was one of the best things on the web, then and now. It encapsulated so much of what we had allowed men to be redefined to be. I would never have guessed that once they thought they were done with masculinity, they would attack femininity as well.

  8. In all the North Atlantic countries men have been told to step back and let women take their place, take the best opportunities, because men are bad and deserve to be punished. After twenty or more years of indoctrination it is not surprising that many men believe this.
