Some Weekend Background Stuff

Here are a few recommendations for the above, taken from my favorites.  Times are approximate.

Schubert’s Trout Quintet (40 minutes)

Schubert’s Impromptus (2.5 hours) (by the way, this visual rendition of #4 in A-flat major is mesmerizing)

Haydn’s String Quartets (six; 70 minutes)

Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (40 minutes)

Addinsell’s Warsw Concerto (10 minutes)

Chopin’s Etudes (twelve; 30 minutes)

Johann Strauss II – Essential Works (2.5 hours)

  1. Now if we could convince our local supermarkets and restaurants to play this sort of music instead of that nasty out-of-copyright pop and country screeching they’re so fond of, the world would be a slightly better place. And I’d stop fantasizing about committing mass murder on every shopping trip.

  2. Thank you for the classical selection. I’m trying to get into the habit of some nice music in the background as I wake up with a cup of good coffee and read the blogs, “news” and other websites of interest. Usually Ammoland is on the list to read. I need to find some more
