Reminder

On this day, a few years ago:

Not that we’re still angry about it, or anything — or else Toyota wouldn’t still be the top-selling automotive brand in the United States.

Finally, Some Good News

…if you’re a compulsive wanker, that is.

While the scientific evidence is still limited, it makes logical sense that regularly using the prostate as it was designed – to create seminal fluid and eject it out of the body – is going to be more beneficial in the longer term than not using it.

The prostate is part-muscle – it contracts during an orgasm to make sure semen goes in the right direction – and all muscles in the body benefit from regular use or they can weaken. And as with any part of the body that secretes fluid, such as the ears or nose, there is a risk of build-up and blockages.

There is some evidence that, if you don’t clear secretions from the prostate, you can end up with an obstruction which, in turn, may cause infection and lead to prostatitis – inflammation of the prostate. This can cause pain and discomfort.

There is also a theory that ejaculating clears the prostate of other potentially inflammatory chemicals.

‘I encourage men with sexual dysfunction to always use an erection. There’s no evidence that abstaining is good for you.’

Ultimately there are no real downsides to upping your sex life – whether solo or with a partner – and lots of potential positives.

And now, if you’ll excuse me…

Oh shuddup.  It’s for my own good.

Unsurprising, Really

From Scottishland comes this report:

Female pupils and staff in Scotland’s schools are at risk from an alarming rise in ‘toxic masculinity’ which has sparked an urgent classroom crackdown.

Staff report boys using catchphrases that belittle women, pulling at girls’ clothes, sending unwanted explicit photos to female classmates and harassing female teachers.  In one example, a group of boys refused to be taught by one teacher and then distributed a faked pornographic image of her.

Staff also report worrying signs of violence and coercive control in teenage relationships.

Given that boys are always at fault, are belittled for being boys, and in general are being fucked around by female teachers and society in general:

…is it any surprise that at some point, boys are going to respond negatively?

Oh yeah, and according to the article, it’s all Andrew Tate’s fault (and look what happened to him).  The Andrew Tate phenomenon is just a reaction to the pussification of men, really.  If men weren’t being attacked on all sides for just being men, Tate would be a marginal figure and still living in obscurity.

By the way, in looking for the above pic, I found this one:

Now that’s funny.

Dept. Of Righteous Shootings – International Division

Here’s one Righteous Shooting that has had an unhappy ending:

Mario Roggero shot at three thieves in Grinzane Cavour on April 28, 2021 after they entered his store, bound his daughter’s hands behind her back, threatened to kill his wife and helped themselves to expensive jewellery and watches.

Fearing for his life, Roggero was seen on CCTV chasing them out of the shop and shooting at least five times.

Andrea Spinelli and Giuseppe Mazzarino died a few yards from the shop entrance, one in the street and the other on the corner with a side street. A third robber was injured and later arrested.

Of course, had this happened in, say, Texas and not in Yurp, there’d be parades in his honor and several attaboys from the police (and me, for instance) for ridding society of three violent assholes.  Instead:

Roggero has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.

Disgusting.  But not entirely unexpected in gun-hating Europe.

Also, in Texas the asshole prosecutors would be facing all sorts of anger from the voters and almost certain loss of office;  but in Yurp, they’re quite happy to lick the chains that enslave them.

Range time, Kim?  I think so.

Update:  And it gets worse.

Scare Quotes

I am so sick of seeing bullshit headlines like this:

Why the quotes?  The actual report itself:

A manhunt for a suspected knifeman has been launched today after a ‘heavily pregnant’ woman was stabbed in Aberfan in a suspected ‘domestic incident’.

Let me just parse this.

  • The woman was “heavily pregnant” — i.e., she had a huge non-Lizzo-style belly, clearly apparent.
  • She was stabbed — obviously apparent, so no quotes.  But then we have:
  • A”suspected” knifeman (my quotes).  If she was so obviously stabbed, how could the stabber be a “suspected” knifeman?

I know, I know:  the reporter is simply reporting from what he’s been told by, one imagines, either the police or hospital staff, hence all the quotes.

And it’s all bullshit.  A pregnant woman was stabbed by a knife-wielding man (even that’s redundant), and police are looking for him.  The circumstances surrounding the stabbing were, apparently, that it was down to a domestic incident — i.e. the stabber was known by the stabbee — the details of which are still unknown.

If it turns out that it wasn’t a domestic incident — i.e. that the woman was stabbed by some nutcase because he hates Tuesdays and the voices in his head told him to hurt someone, anyone — then the time for amending the report comes when the newspaper can print that no, it wasn’t a domestic incident as first reported, it was just some random loony.

I’m sorry, I meant “loony”.

I realize that this is the Daily Mail  newspaper– hardly a paragon of acceptable journalism — but fucking hell, can we at least dispense with all the prevaricating quote marks?
